The Eaton Fire
As most of you know by now, the church building burned in the devastating fires on January 7-10. We are still the church, and part of a church family, but it will look different for a time. We also want to acknowledge the immense loss that our church family is experiencing right now: many, many families lost their homes, places of business, belongings, livelihoods. There is much to mourn and grieve, but we will continue to work to love each other, and preach the Good News through our actions in service to Altadena and to each other.

January/early-February 2025 Sunday services
Highlands Church has graciously offered us space to gather, so we're meeting at 11am at Highlands Church, 4441 La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta. (Park and follow signs once there.) Still won't be a normal service but we will worship and have testimonies and prayer and a talk.

Clarification for Gifts
Please specify in the memo line where you would like your gift to go: 1) where most needed, 2) people needs, or 3) rebuilding the church. If not specified, ABC will use it where most needed to honor your gift.

Helping Each Other In This Time of Need
Altadena Baptist is only accepting financial gifts at this time due to the logistical challenges of managing unsolicited donations of food, clothing, or household goods (gifts in-kind). We don’t want to duplicate other organizations’ efforts, and we have no physical address from which to distribute!
Our fire/deacon benevolent fund will go to help church members who have little or nothing left. Donate at altadenabaptist.org (PayPal), or send funds to altabap@aol.com via Zelle (please include contact info and address for tax purposes).
Once we know more about the rebuilding process and the future, we will share that information.

Immediate Future
Highlands Church has graciously offered us space to gather, so we're meeting this Sunday, January 12, at 11am at Highlands Church, 4441 La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta. (Park and follow signs once there.) It won't be a normal service because this is not a normal time; instead, come for prayer, support, and lots of hugs.

Resources for ABC members and attendees
We have people with resources that we are wanting to connect. Please email altabap@aol.com or call the church number at 626-797-8970 (it rolls to Pastor George's phone). We will work on connecting needs in the church with resources as much as possible. (If your house has burn damage/destroyed, please don't forget to file your insurance claim.) Here is the type of info needed:
- ABC attendee needing housing (how many people and pets, for about how long or indefinite?)
- ABC attendee needing a place to shower
- ABC attendee needing clothes, food, other supplies, etc.
- How can we reach you best? (Make sure to give us your best contact information.)

Monetary Donations for Benevolent Fund
We are taking monetary donations for our benevolent fund through PayPal account (use the PayPal site, not the ABC website) and through Zelle (for both online options, search for altabap@aol.com or Altadena Baptist Church). In the memo line, specify for disaster relief.
