ABC is an active participant in ACTS (Altadena Congregations Together Serving). Informative “Summer Salad Suppers” have been an important ACTS program, bringing people from various congregations together, but COVID-19 has made these meetings unsafe. As a substitute, ACTS will be sponsoring a special Zoom discussion meeting, next Thursday, August 20, beginning at 5:30 pm. Special Guest Dr. Jill Shook, author of Making Housing Happen – Faith-Based Affordable Housing Models, will give a presentation and answer questions on exploring ways to address homelessness through faith-based community building.
