Tuesday morning is usually the time when I write my article for the Messenger. I started with what I thought was a pretty good idea, but the more I worked on it, the less I liked it, so I gave it up. I let my mind wander through things that have happened in the last couple of days. I went down a few pathways, but they all petered out. Nothing seemed to click. I looked over at the wall of books in my office, thinking one of them might make a light go on. I found myself counting them instead. There are nearly a thousand, and not one stimulated an idea worth writing about. Finally, in resignation I said to myself, “I’ve got nothing!”

And a familiar Bible verse (Psalm 46:10) came to my mind:

“BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD”

So, that’s my message to you today.
